VIDEO: AMAZING GRACE Teases 'Stay Tuned For The Encore'

This season's first new musical, AMAZING GRACE, played its final performance at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre on Sunday October 25, for a total of 24 previews and 114 regular performances.

At the time of the closing it was announced that a national tour of the production was being planned by Troika Entertainment and that additional details would be announced at a later date.

Today, AMAZING GRACE released the video below, showing the company singing the song that inspired the musical at their last curtain call. At the end of the video there's a message: "Stay Tuned For The Encore, Coming January 2016." The Original Broadway Cast Recording of AMAZING GRACE was recorded by DMI Soundtracks on Monday, November 2nd, previously announced to be released in January of 2016.

Amazing Grace began previews on Thursday, June 25 and opened Thursday, July 16 at the Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street).

Amazing Grace has music and lyrics by Christopher Smith and a book by Christopher Smith and Arthur Giron. The Broadway production was directed by Gabriel Barre (Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party) and choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies).

Amazing Grace featured Tony Award nominee Josh Young, Erin Mackey, Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper, Tony Award nominee Tom Hewitt, Chris Hoch, Stanley Bahorek, Harriett D. Foy, LaionaMichelle, Rachael Ferrera and Elizabeth Ward Land.

The ensemble featured Leslie Becker, Sara Brophy, Rheaume Crenshaw, Miquel Edson, MikeEvariste, Sean Ewing,Savannah Frazier, Christopher Gurr, Allen Kendall, Michael Dean Morgan,Vince Oddo, Oneika Phillips, Clifton Samuels, Gavriel Savit, Dan Sharkey, Bret Shuford, Evan Alexander Smith, Uyoata Udi, Charles E. Wallace, Toni Elizabeth White, Hollie E. Wright.
