Under the Table Theater Company Presents THE ONLY FRIENDS WE HAVE 8/4-9
Brooklyn-based physical theatre ensemble Under The Table presents The Only Friends We Have at HERE Arts Center from August 4-9 at 7 PM, with a late night showing of crowd favorite, SOLO: A Two-Person Show, on Saturday the 8th at 10:30 PM. The Only Friends We Have is a dark and physical comedy about three eccentric friends, each trying to wrestle the world into submission. Delusions of grandeur, unrequited love, and a phantom bug problem are among the issues plaguing the trio. The show features slapstick, absurd plot turns, and Under the Table's signature rapid-fire wordplay.
Under the Table is a physical theatre ensemble dedicated to creating original, hilarious, relevant, and accessible theatre. Founded in 2001 by graduates of the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Under the Table has appreciated fantastic response from their work in the New York City area, across the country, and in Europe. They have been called "heroes of modern comedy" by Joseph Langham of NYTheatre.com, and "...a breath of fresh air for the New York theatre scene!" by Floyd Rumohr, artistic director of the Chekhov Theatre Ensemble.
