It was mistakenly reported earlier today that multi-award-winning star of FOX's hit musical dramedy series GLEE, Chris Colfer, would not be returning for the show's final season this year, but that information is incorrect.

Apparently, Colfer's Twitter account was hacked and the untrue information was posted by someone other than Colfer.

Furthermore, both Colfer's manager and publicist confirm that he is signed for a Season Six contract already and he is currently on a mid-Atlantic flight without wifi access, thus cannot immediately address the situation at this time.

Subsequently, FOX has released an official statement relaying, "We've been alerted that Chris Colfer's Twitter account has been hacked. Rumors of his dismissal from Glee could not be further from the truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season."

Check out the confirmed report here.

GLEE is expected to return for its final season at the start of 2015.
