Original Spring Awakening costars Lea Michele, Skylar Astin, and Jonathan Groff just reunited, and on Twitter, Michele had this to say @

Best weekend getaway in San Fran with these boys:) JG and @SkylarAstin... So grateful for such amazing friends.

All three starred in the original Broadway production of Spring Awakening, which opened at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre in 2006. Michele and Groff played love interests 'Wendla' and 'Melchior' and Astin played 'Georg'. The rock musical featured music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater, and is based on the controversial German play Spring Awakening (1891).

Since leaving the show the trio has become well-known for others works. Astin recently led Pitch Perfect, and currently has a slew of other movies in the works, including a sequel to the cult hit. Groff will soon star in HBO's Looking series, as well as the big screen adaptation of The Normal Heart. Michele is best known for her Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated work on FOX's Glee.
