Tryst to Break Off-Bway Engagement with Final 6/11 Show

Tryst, a new play by Karoline Leach starring Maxwell Caulfield and Amelia Campbell, will play its final performance on Sunday, June 11th at 3PM at Off- Broadway's Promenade Theatre (Broadway at 76th Street).

Directed by Joe Brancato and produced by Morton Wolkowitz and Barbara Freitag, the play garnered critical acclaim and was nominated for two 2006 Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Outstanding Off Broadway Play. Upon announcing the closing date, Wolkowitz stated, "I would like to especially thank The Ben Sprecher Organization and the owners of the Promenade Theatre for their generous support."

Tryst started previews on March 22nd and opened on April 6th 2006. The production played 17 preview performances and a total of 77 regular performances through its closing slated for Sunday, June 11th.

"Part romance and part psychological thriller, Tryst tells the story of how George Love, a handsome conman who woos loved-starved women, meets Adelaide Pinchon, a desperate woman, who dreams beyond her mundane world at the local millinery store. Mr. Love has a history of illicit affairs, but after meeting the fantasizing shop-girl, ---- there is a twist of fate," state press notes.

The production will play it final performances as per the following schedule: Tuesdays at 7PM and Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8PM with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 3PM.
