Tour of Cirque du Soleil's 'Quidam' Plays Shanghai Debut
As part of its international tour, Quidam - one of Cirque du Soleil's visually dazzling stage spectacles - is currently playing the Grand Chapiteau in its Shanghai, China debut, according to Variety. The show, which opened on Thursday, June 28th, runs through the end of August.
Featuring a blend of acrobatics, music and dance, Quidam features 50 performers from fourteen countries (four performers are Chinese). The show "tells the story of Zoe, a young girl who travels into an imagined world in search of meaning in her life."
Cirque du Soleil, the world famous French Canadian troupe founded in 1984, will next unveil Quidam in Mexico. Cirque du Soleil is also currently presenting five other touring shows.
