Tony and Drama Desk Nominees Set for Today's Edition of ROW J on The Jewish Channel

The Jewish Channel will broadcast the latest edition of its popular theater-oriented monthly TV show, "Row J," to begin airing on demand today, May 22. Row J" is hosted by TJC correspondent Meredith Ganzman. The executive producer is Brian Scott Lipton.

Each episode of "Row J" focuses on Broadway and off-Broadway shows, highlighting Jewish themes, actors, writers, and directors. Theater personalities discuss their current projects and careers, alongside reviews of new shows, on-location features with theater community notables, and other special segments.

The May edition of "Row J" will include:

- A preview of the 2015 Tony Awards, featuring nominees including Steven Boyer, Lydia Leonard, Brad Oscar, Casey Nicholaw, Alex Sharp, Sarah Stiles, and Brandon Uranowitz

- A preview of the 2015 Drama Desk Awards, featuring past winners Judith Light and Jessie Mueller, and current nominees Christian Borle, Warren Carlyle, Leanne Cope, Lisa Howard, Tonya Pinkins, and Max Von Essen.

- An in-depth in-studio interview with producer Daryl Roth and actor Chip Zien, and special co-host Ilene Ganzman discussing the hit Broadway musical "It Shoulda Been You".

- A special monthly roundtable, featuring Ganzman along with Row J" contributing critic Jesse Oxfeld and executive producer Brian Scott Lipton, in which the panel expresses which shows and actors they would most like to see win this year's Tony Awards, which will be presented on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall.

- Row J's always provocative "question of the month," including answers from Tyne Daly, Gloria Estefan, Edward Hibbert, Brian d'Arcy James, Jerry O'Connell, and Tommy Tune.

Called a "Jewish HBO" by the New York Times, The Jewish Channel is an award-winning premium cable television channel available nationwide. Boasting 50,000 subscribers, TJC is one of the most-subscribed-to Jewish media outlets in the country.
