The St. Bart's Players, NYC's award-winning, longest-running community theater group, proudly presents Moss Hart and George Kaufman's classic, life-affirming comedy in three acts, You Can't Take It With You to kick off its 91st Season.

Grandpa Vanderhof and his eccentric family, the Sycamores, have been happily living their madcap lives in his New York City home for many years. The family (and their friends who come to visit and end up staying for years) joyfully march to the beat of their own drum. Their hobbies include collecting snakes, building fireworks in the basement, writing plays that never get published and taking ballet lessons. What they lack in talent, they make up for in heart. When the Sycamore's youngest daughter, practical and sweet-natured Alice, becomes engaged to her company's vice president, Tony Kirby, the Vanderhof/Sycamore clan must quickly straighten up to meet Tony's parents. Chaos and hilarity ensue when the buttoned-up Kirbys arrive for dinner at the wrong time and experience Alice's family in all its whacky glory.

You Can't Take It With You is a heartwarming, uplifting comedy that reinforces the idea that you can only live life to the fullest by doing whatever makes you happy.

The play won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and was adapted for the screen, winning the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director.

Director Joseph Hayward (The Vampire's Last Bite) excitedly states, "In many ways You Can't Take It With You seems like the perfect choice for the St. Bart's Players-one big, happy family, doing what they enjoy more than anything else in the world."

The cast features: Ken Altman, Tracey Altman, Barbara Blomberg, Melissa Broder, Tim Burroughs, Lou Craft, Joe Gambino, Dan Grinko, Quincie Mychelle Lewis, Savannah Lloyd, Alex Mogil, Jim Mullins, Matt Pastorius, Donovan Price, Katherine Weall and Lindsey Zelli.

You Can't Take It With You will be performed at The Hudson Guild Theatre (441 W. 26th St., New York, NY 10001) for six performances, April 18th-22nd, with ticket prices ranging from $20-$45.
