Allison Case and Jay Armstrong Johnson

broadwayUNLOCKED presented a special performance of "I'm Gone" from the Broadway musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY. Allison Case and Jay Armstrong Johnson performed the song in anticipation of Ghostlight Records' upcoming Original Broadway Cast Recording, which will be recorded next month and released in June 2013. Broadway's Andrew Keenan Bolger and other outstanding artists from the worlds of Broadway, television, film and other mediums came together on April 22 for the third annual broadwayUNLOCKED (formerly known as "The Bridge"), a benefit concert celebrating the work of the Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC) of St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. The event took place at WNYC / New York Public Radio's The Greene Space. Go here to see more photos!

In her brand new show at 54 Below, Broadway's Andrea Burns (Beauty & The Beast, The Full Monty, The Ritz, In the Heights, and the forthcoming The Nance) presented a hilarious and at times moving evening that explores finding a state of grace at forty while reasserting that Latinas don't play. Weaving Broadway with pop culture, expect tunes by Sarah Bareilles, Stephen Sondheim, Celia Cruz, Peter Gabriel, and more as Andrea teamed up with her In the Heights Musical Director, Alex Lacamoire. On April 29, The New York Pops marked its 30th birthday with a grand gala evening honoring the musical talents of songwriters Frank Loesser and Jule Styne, and the centennial of legendary entertainer Danny Kaye. Thirteen years after its Los Angeles debut, the cult musical Bare will get its European premiere at the Union Theatre, running now through 25 May 2013, directed by Paul Taylor-Mills. Opening night was April 30. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast onstage here!

The Old Globe presents the San Diego premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's award-winning family drama Other Desert Cities. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the production here. Directed by Richard Seer, Other Desert Cities is now running on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, through June 2, 2013. Preview performances ran April 27 - May 1 and Opened May 2.

MATILDA THE MUSICAL Made its first national TV appearance this morning on "Good Morning America". The cast performed the galvanizing "Revolting Children" and iconic "Naughty." Matilda the Musicalopened to rapturous reviews last month and this week received 12 Tony Award nominations including one for Best Musical. Check out photos from the performance here!



Annaleigh Ashford, Stark Sands & Billy Porter

Nominations in 26 competitive categories for the American Theatre Wing's 67th Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards were announced on Tuesday by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sutton Foster. Check out the full list of Tony nods here, and meet the nominees here!
