The second annual Thespians Go Hollywood event, supporting access and excellence in theatre education programs for underserved schools, takes place November 12 at Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles, California. The event, produced by the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) and the International Thespian Society (ITS), is chaired by Krista Carson Elhai, EdTA board member and president of the California Educational Theatre Association.

This event is a collaborative effort by a group of talented film, theatre, and TV professionals, and California Thespian student performers featuring performances as well as interviews. The evening is open to all to celebrate the theatre arts and all the young people whose dreams, talent, and energy make theatre possible. It provides the opportunity for ITS alumni and friends to meet the movers and shakers in the film, television, and theatre industries, plus help a great cause!.

"Having the opportunity to experience theatre in school changes lives," said EdTA Executive Director, Julie Cohen Theobald, "and with the help of theatre enthusiasts, we're working to help more students have the experience of feeling accepted, valued, and part of something larger than themselves."

The entertainment for the evening will be hosted by Hunter Bell ([title of show], Found), directed by Daniel Smith (director/choreographer with 3D Theatricals), and with musical direction by Todd Schroeder (LA Stage Alliance Ovation award winner for Best Musical Direction).

In addition to a cast of all-star Thespian student performers, the show will feature performances from Barrett Foa (Honorary Thespian and NCIS: Los Angeles), Sam Harris (Tony-nominated Broadway and TV star), Carly Hughes (Cabin in the Sky, Chicago), Lesley McKinnell (ITS Alumni and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder), and Loren Smith (Michael Bublé's Backup Vocal Captain). The entertainment will also feature interviews with Carolina Garcia (ITS Alumni and Manager, Original Programming at Netflix), and KC Wilkerson (ITS Alumni and Senior Lighting Designer, Disney Parks and Resorts).

Seating is limited; tickets are available online.

Thespians Go Hollywood sponsors and patrons include Disney Parks Live Entertainment, Disney Performing Arts, Hilton Honors, Playbill, Steven Llanusa, and John Prignano.
