Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) Announces Executive & Management Promotions

Musical theatre licensor Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) announced a slew of key promotions and new hires today. TRW President & CEO Steve Spiegelinformed his staff at a company gathering at the Tribeca Grill, celebrating his landmark 35th year in the theatrical licensing business. Spiegel recently took 100% ownership of the company which coincided with signing worldwide representation of Broadway's Tony Award-winning Best Musical JERSEY BOYS.

"This is a milestone period for TRW. Our catalogue, created in just seven years, now boasts eleven Broadway titles including three Tony Award-winning Best Musicals," Spiegel said.

"Today I've made several strategic promotions that will allow our team's creativity, talent and productivity to transition from start-up mode to our next phase of unprecedented growth and diversification of the TRW brand."

Director of Marketing Fred Stuart, was promoted to Chief Marketing Officer, having lead the department since 2008. Said Spiegel, "Fred has lived the world of theatre during his career and he possesses an incredible reservoir of knowledge, vision and experience. He continues to engage and innovate with our authors and clients through a pioneering department."

Director of Professional Licensing Sean Cercone was named Vice President of Professional & International Licensing. "As we continue to expand our collection of Broadway titles, Sean's invaluable experience, perspective and expertise in the changing world of professional licensing has elevated TRW's presence in positioning our shows with top regional and international theatres," Spiegel said. "And, his leadership in developing new shows and re-approaching existing titles, especially for the unique pro market, brings a vital asset to our executive team." Cercone will now lead his department with newly hired Executive Assistant, Dyan Flores.

Director of Licensing Jim Hoare was named Vice President of Licensing & Accounts. "Jim has been with TRW since its inception in 2006, after having directed high school theatre for over 30 years. His knowledge and experience is unmatched and his guidance to producers and directors of school and amateur shows is invaluable," Spiegel said.

Head of Music and Publications, David Abbinanti, was named Assistant Vice President of Music, Publications & Creative. He will lead TRW's music and creative department as the company continues to grow its development and youth division. Said Spiegel, "David is truly a gifted and accomplished musician, writer, arranger and music specialist. His musical expertise has been heralded by all our authors."

Top licensing agent Charisse Hardy was named Manager of Licensing and Accounts, and is
now supervising two new agents added to the Amateur division. "Charisse is a rising star in our organization. Her customer service style, as well of that of her team, is acknowledged and applauded by hundreds of theatre customers each week," Spiegel said.
