Legendary Broadway caricaturist Al Hirschfeld will be remembered on a Friday, February 24th re-airing edition of Thirteen/WNET's "Theater Talk," which will begin at 12:30 AM.

In November 2001, "Theater Talk" invited Pulitzer-Prize winning cartoonist Art Spiegelman to interview Hirschfeld at his studio in New York City. "The two masters hit it off immediately, and their wide-ranging conversation about the art of caricature - capturing a person's essence with line - as well as Hirschfeld's life and career, is fascinating," according to press notes.

The program, which is hosted by The New York Post's Michael Riedel and producer Susan Atkins, serves as a tribute to Hirschfeld who died in 2003 at the age of 99. The artist was known for his caricatures--with their bold lines and affectionate satirical exaggeration--of Broadway stars and shows. He also earned fame for hiding the word "Nina"--the name of his daughter--in his drawings.

CUNY-TV will also re-air "Theatre Talk"'s conversation with esteemed British actress Eileen Atkins, now appearing in Doubt
on Broadway, this weekend. It will air: Saturday, 2/25 at 8:30 PM; Sunday, 2/26 at 12:30 PM and Monday, 12/27 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
