The Warehouse in Cornelius is holding auditions for 'Road To Mecca' by Athol Fugard. Audition appointments will be scheduled from Thursday, January 28th to Tuesday, February 2nd.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
Helen - a frail, birdlike woman in her sixties. Speaks with an Afrikaans accent.
Marius - A neatly dressed man, 50s-70s, with a simple sincerity and charm. Speaks with an Afrikaansaccent.Elsa - a strong-willed woman in her late 20s, early 30s; speaks with an English accentProduction dates: April 30th - May 9th; rehearsal schedule TBA. Road to Mecca is a powerful work about the Afrkaner artist, Helen Martins, and her unyielding search for personal truth, freedom and artistic vision. Intense and inspiring. Juicy!
