The Theater People Podcast Welcomes ON YOUR FEET's Andrea Burns in New Episode

On Monday, April 4, the Theater People podcast welcomes ON YOUR FEET star Andrea Burns.

Burns made her professional New York debut in Jason Robert Brown's groundbreaking 1995 musical SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. She then made her Broadway debut in 1996 as a replacement in the role of Belle in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and went on to co-star in the Broadway productions of THE FULL MONTY and THE RITZ.

In 2008 she originated the role of Daniela in IN THE HEIGHTS. She was last seen on Broadway as Carmen in Lincoln Center's THE NANCE. In ON YOUR FEET she plays Gloria Fajardo, Gloria Estefan's mother.

For the episode, Burns talks about her early years trying to make it in New York City, her friendships with fellow theater greats Jason Robert Brown and Katie Finneran, how she won the role in the groundbreaking IN THE HEIGHTS, and what it means to her to be able to tell the Estefans' story every night on stage.
