Through dance-able electro-pop beats, puppetry, animation, and smart lyrics, The Pop Ups continue to engage fans with songs that will spark imagination and creativity. Great Pretenders Club is inspired by the essential role of play in childhood development. Play is deeply tied to how animals (including human animals!) learn, adapt, and socialize. The Pop Ups wrote these songs to engage children (and bears) in imaginative play as a means of exploration and learning. The Pop Ups consulted noted biologist and animal ethologist Marc Bekoff PhD to write lyrics to reflect animal behavior and the human-centered "science of play." Guest artists include GRAMMY nominated multi-instrumentalist, composer and lyricist Bernhoft and the indie band HAERTS. Children's voices and characters from The Pop Ups' puppet family also contribute to the joyous wall of sound. Tap into your wild creative power and see the world in a new way with The Pop Ups.
