Craig Wright's play The Pavilion, which is currently playing at the Rattlestick Theatre (224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Ave., between West 11th and Perry Streets), will extend its limited engagement to play for another two weeks.  The limited engagement was to end October 9th, but will now continue through Sunday, October 23rd.

Performances of the show, which is presented by the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, began on Friday, September 9th and the show had its opening night on Tuesday, September 20th.   Directed by Lucie Tiberghien, the cast features Stephen Bogardus (Falsettos, Love, Valour! Compassion!), brian d'Arcy James (Titanic, The Wild Party, Sweet Smell of Success) and Jennifer Mudge (Reckless).  Tasha Lawrence replaces Mudge beginning October 5th.

"At the Pavilion, a 100-year-old dance hall in Pine City, MN, the lives of ex-sweethearts Peter Mollberg and Kari Hermanson -- and dozens of other characters, as well -- intertwine once more to form a pattern of love and loss. Another in Wright's series of Pine City plays, which include the critically-acclaimed Orange Flower Water and the Helen Hayes Award-winning Melissa Arctic, The Pavilion is a tragicomic reunion of truly cosmic proportions," according to press notes.

The production team includes Takeshi Kata (sets), Mimi O'Donnell (costumes), Matthew Richards (lights) and Christophe Tiberghien (music).

After October 5th, The Pavilion will play the following revised performance schedule: Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00PM and Sundays at 3:00PM.  There are no Tuesday shows. Tickets are $42.00 and are available by calling SmartTix at (212) 868-4444 or www.smarttix.com.  For more information, visit www.rattlestick.org.
