The National Portrait Gallery presents a special "Meet the Author" presentation with Sylvia Jukes Morris on Sunday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at the Nan Tucker McEvoy Auditorium.

PRICE OF FAME: THE HONORABLE CLARE BOOTHE LUCE (Random House, on sale June 17) by Sylvia Jukes Morris continues the mesmerizing story of the beautiful, brilliant, ambitious, yet often tormented, trailblazer who, in her eighty-four years, achieved success in an extraordinary variety of arenas: literary, theatrical, political, spiritual, social and diplomatic. Join National Portrait Gallery historian Amy Henderson in conversation with Morris. Morris will sign copies of her new book, which is available for purchase on site following the program.

Free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations; seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
