The Met Offers Free Tours to Military Personnel During Fleet Week, Beginning Today

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is offerering free Museum Highlights Tours to visiting United States Sailors, Marines, Coast Guardsmen during Fleet Week New York, beginning today, May 25 and continuing through May 31.

The tours feature highlights from The Met collection, which includes over 5,000 years of art from every corner of the globe.

The Met is a member of the Blue Star Museums, and will welcome military personnel with complimentary admission this summer from Memorial Day (May 30) through Labor Day (September 5).

Tours begin daily at 11 am, on the following days: Wednesday, May 25, through Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at The Met Fifth Avenue (at 82nd Street). Tours will meet on the north side of the Museum's Great Hall, near the large statue of the Pharaoh.
