The HMP Films Presents a Reading of 'Hello My Planet' at the Drama Book Shop

The HMP Films presents reading of Hello My Planet, an original Sci-fi feature screenplay at the Drama Book Shop Arthur Seelen Theater, written and directed by So Young Yang.

Hello My Planet is the first film of the HMP trilogy.

A Tsunami has just swept the planet of SAMKA resulting in the loss of most of the civilization, yet pockets of dry land and survivors remain. Among them are MARITTAH (Macie Barnes) and PUKKA (Brad Lewis), the leading guardians of the Samka civilization.

It has been prophesied, that when Samka's end is near, The Memory Stone, which supposedly holds all the knowledge of the planet, must be sealed away until a later civilization needs its assistance. The task must be carried out by Marittah. However, Pukka refuses to follow the prophecy blindly, wanting both The Memory Stone and Marittah to start a new civilization right away. A struggle ensues that challenges Marittah. Can she carry out the prophecy? What caused the demise of Samka, which seemed ideal, and is there a connection with 21st Century New York? We will find out!
