The Acting Company, America's foremost nationally touring, classic repertory theater, offers Big Apple theatergoers the superlative choice between Henry James' The Turn of the Screw, a provocative tale of suspense, horror and psychological intrigue and/or The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Shakespeare's riotous romp about the bonds of friendship and fidelity. Both plays will run at the Acorn at Theatre Row, located at 410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues.

The Turn of the Screw performance schedule is as follows: Tuesday, May 3rd through Saturday, May 7th at 8 p.m. with a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. and a student performance on Wednesday, May 4th at 10 a.m. As adapted by award-winning playwright Jeffrey Hatcher (A Picasso, currently at Manhattan Theatre Club, Never Gonna Dance, Compleat Female Stage Beauty, Tuesdays with Morrie), The Turn of the Screw takes a turn of its own, creating a frightening and fascinating piece of theater. Madness and mystery are concealed in this brilliant, spine-tingling play. Directed by Davis McCallum (The Belle's Stratagem for the Prospect Theatre Company and Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art).

The Two Gentlemen of Verona performance schedule is as follows: Tuesday, May 10th through Saturday, May 14th at 8 p.m. with student performances on Tuesday, May 10th and Wednesday, May 11th at 10 a.m. In The Two Gentlemen of Verona crazy clowns, baffled bandits, sassy servants and an unforgettable ill-mannered dog round out Shakespeare's rollicking comedy of disguise and deception. Directed by Matthew August, recently directed Sixteen Wounded starring Martin Landau at the Long Wharf Theatre and was Associate Director to two-time Tony winner Jack O'Brien (Henry IV, The Full Monty).
