TWO BIRDS AND A BAG OF BONES To Have Industry Reading at The Tank NYC
Alexandra Bianco's new comedy, directed by Isa Barrett, stars Britnie Narcisse and a full ensemble cast
Cherubs Productions will present an industry reading of Two Birds and a Bag of Bones, a new comedy feature film by Alexandra Bianco, directed by Isa Barrett, on June 10 at 7:00 PM at The Tank NYC.
The cast will feature Britnie Narcisse, Alexandra Bianco, Katie Parkinson, Owen Lloyd, Patrick McDonald, Maggie Hill, Tony Harkin, Eve Bianco, Sonia Werner, Sophia Conlon, and Santos Aguilar.
On the precipice of turning 30, Wigberta (Narcisse), a Mancunian Slag, begins her day in the office with her usual care-free demeanor, excited for her birthday the next day. However, her boss reveals to her that they will be celebrating her birthday today because... well... she's getting fired. Bollocks. Wigberta packs her things and journeys to the bank to deposit her final check, leaving her birthday cake and self-worth behind. Meanwhile, her Best Friend, Lucinda (Bianco), has been at the Manchester United Stadium all day trying to attract the attention of any bloke with a pulse. She's in a dry spell, and she's never too proud for anyone or anything.
Our Two Birds from Manchester try to recover from their distinctive ego deaths (being fired even though you're low-key Nepo and being involuntarily, soul-crushingly celibate) when they are informed that, without paying rent by the morning, they will be evicted, resulting in a clusterfuck of chaos.
Blending fast-paced farce with biting humor, Two Birds and a Bag of Bones explores female friendship, financial desperation, and the absurdity of modern independence. Expect anything and everything from a Scottish bank robber to giving A VERY OLD bruv a foot massage.
