THE ONLY WAY OUT IS IN Will Make Scottish Premiere at Pitlochry Festival Theatre
Sharron Devine's multi-sensory solo experience takes place in the Explorers Garden under Alan Cumming's tenure
From established Scottish Independent Theatre Artist Sharron Devine comes the Scottish première of The Only Way Out Is In, a live multi-sensory one-on-one experience in three acts exploring urgent themes of nature, control, power, risk, balance, trust and choice.
Originally commissioned by award winning Theatre Absolute in Coventry, selling out during Coventry UK City of Culture 2021, the exciting new production will have its Scottish première in the Pavilion in the Explorers Garden at Pitlochry Festival Theatre from 17-21 & 24-28 June. There will be a maximum of one audience member per performance.
This powerful experience plays with theatrical form to face vital themes head on with craft, curiosity and bags of imagination. It also questions what could change given a fresh opportunity to “see” things differently, always keeping the audience member's care at the core of the encounter.
Sharron Devine said, “After almost 3 decades developing my craft in theatre, I couldn't be more excited to make my debut with and in my own work at the magical Pitlochry Festival Theatre under this new exciting tenure led by Alan Cumming.
It's been so easy and my absolute joy this last year to work with the team to make bringing The Only Way Out Is In to Pitlochry audiences a reality.”
The production is suitable for adults aged 18+.
The production forms part of Alan Cumming's inaugural season as Artistic Director at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, as the theatre celebrates its 75th anniversary.
The Only Way Out is In runs at Pitlochry Festival Theatre from 17-21 & 24-28 June in the Explorers Garden. There is a maximum of one ticket per performance.
