The Lion King and Broadway Community will host a benefit concert for Shannon Tavarez on Monday, September 27 at 9:30 PM at the Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd St.)

Shannon Tavarez is an 11 year old from Queens. She performed as Young Nala in the Lion King on Broadway for seven months before being diagnosed with AML Leukemia in April 2010. Her strength, grace, and love for life have been an inspiration to all those who know and love her, as well as anyone who has heard her story. The Lion King and Broadway community are coming together for a night of singing to benefit Shannon Tavarez and her family. All proceeds from this show will go directly to Shannon.

There will be a $15 cover charge and a 2 drink minimum. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made by calling 212-206-0440.
