Jayne Houdyshell has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play for her role of Deirdre Blake in Roundabout Theatre Company's The Humans.

Houdyshell's other Broadway credits include Fish in the Dark, Romeo and Juliet, Dead Accounts, Follies (Tony Award nomination), The Importance of Being Ernest, Bye Bye Birdie, Wicked and Well (Tony nomination.) Off Broadway credits include The Humans, Harrison, TX, Coraline; Teh Rectption and The Pain and the Itch.

She won Obie and Theatre World Awards for Well's original at the Public Theatre. She is also the recipient of the 2013 Special Drama Desk Award for her artistry as an exceptionally versatile and distinctive actress and off-Broadway performer.

Her film credits include Lucky Stiff, Everybody's Fine, Garden State, and Trust the Man. TV credits include American Odyssey, Elementary, Blue Bloods and Law & Order: SVU.
