Marissa Von Bleicken, one of the contestants from the television series, The Glee Project, will get up close and personal with children and teens who dream of becoming pop stars in a March 24 workshop at Pearl Studios, 500 8th Ave - between 35th & 36th St.

During the class, which costs $175 and which will go from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Marissa will coach showbiz hopefuls and give constructive criticism. She will teach kids a dance combo that she  learned during her tenure on The Glee Project. An NYC agent will conduct a mock audition. There will also be a Q & A session with Marissa. Kids can pick her brain about what it was like to be on a hit t.v. series and her experience working with Ryan Murphy and the other contestants.

“Marissa has a lot to offer our students, many of whom want to go on to become theatre and television actors,” artistic director Jessica Rofé said.

A Class Act NY educates students about show business and how dedicated a person needs to be to the craft in order to make it.

“Lots of kids want to be stars. We try to enlighten them by telling them that stardom shouldn’t be the goal; doing what you love should,” Rofé said.

A Class Act NY is Manhattan’s premier award-winning acting studio for kids and teens. They were recently featured on NBC News, on the front cover and home page of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL and will be on NIGHTLINE later on this year.
