Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Jonathan Freeman, who is starring as 'Jafar' in Aladdin- currently playing at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

THE APPLE TREE

What is you most unique pre-show ritual?

Having conversations with various family members or friends who are no longer living.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

When i did the concert version of SAIL AWAY with Elaine Stritch, the young boy in the show broke his arm, playing in the stair well, right before a performance. Watching Elaine convince that kid that she could NOT do the show without him was pretty impressive! A doctor wrapped his arm, and put it in a sling, and he did the show! At the curtain call, Elaine brought the kid out with her, stopped the applause and explained to the audience what happened.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

Something new and serious, that has never been seen...or, Mr. Pickwick.

Who is your Broadway crush?

Christian Borle

Where can people stalk you online?

Nowhere. No stalking please!
