Symphony Space Announces Free Summer Stock Readings
Symphony Space has announced a free summer reading series of three new theatrical works by new and established playwrights, directed by renowned directors and read by acclaimed actors, as part of its Summer Stock series, on Monday evenings July 16, 23 and August 6 at 7pm in its Leonard Nimoy Thalia theatre (Broadway at 95th Street)
Each reading will be followed by a Question and Answer session with the cast and creative team.
The three plays are:
Helpers
July 16, 2007, 7 pm
"A charming new comedy about the next big idea."
Written by Isaiah Sheffer, directed by Eduardo Machado.
The Split
July 23, 2007, 7 pm
"A screwball comedy about life, love and divorceHollywood style."
Written by Frank Strausser, directed by Michael Bush.
Two Handers
Aug 6, 2007, 7 pm
"2 men. 2 women. 4 conflicts. 6 scenes."
Written by Martin Fox, directed by Tony Award-winner Austin Pendleton.
