Beginning today, January 10, Swann Auction Galleries will hold its first-ever online only auction, featuring a treasure trove of performing arts autographs.

The sale will include approximately 400 lots consisting of selections from a large collection formed in the first half of the 20th century. Featuring signed photographs and playbills, many with letters and/or contemporary clippings, of the famous, near-famous and now-forgotten, the entire auction will be conducted online from January 10 until February 1.

Most of the items in the sale are estimated between $50 and $100, with some in the $100 to $150 range and a handful with estimates from $300 to $400. The accessibility and affordability of this sale make it the ideal opportunity for those looking to get their feet wet in the auction world.

Highlights include:

· A signed and inscribed playbill from Tennessee Williams, The Glass Menagerie, 1945

· A playbill from Mister Rogers in 1948, signed and inscribed by Henry Fonda, David Wayne, Robert Keith and William Harrigan

· A playbill signed by Vivien Leigh, of Gone with the Wind fame

· A playbill from Saturday's Children in 1928, signed by Humphrey Bogart and Ruth Gordon

· A signed and inscribed photograph of Clara Clemens, Mark Twain's daughter, starring in her father's Joan of Arc
