Sunda Croonquist to Headline Tropicana Las Vegas Laugh Factory, 12/22-28

Actress / comic / television personality Sunda Croonquist brings her hilarious, flavorful, "kosher soul food" to the New Tropicana Las Vegas Laugh Factory for a weeklong engagement beginning Monday, December 22nd . Joining Croonquist during the six-day, 12-show residency (venue dark on Thursday, December 25) will be her Jewish Life TV talk show ("James & Sunda") co- host writer/ comedian James Harris and veteran comedy performer Jeff Altman. Although only a runner up in the New Jersey Preliminaries of The Miss America Pageant Croonquist - a native of Paterson - came in as a winner when was voted as New Jersey's Funniest Female and noted in the New York Daily News as "the only woman that can make Jerry Lewis laugh" Now a West coast, resident, the Black, Jewish, Swedish mother of two regularly hosts "All Star Comedy" on Saturday evenings at The Laugh Factory in Hollywood and has been featured on several network and cable television programs including ABC-TV's "The View," Comedy Central's "Premium Blend", "The Today Show" and Oprah's OWN. Sunda is also known for her philanthropic side, as she served as chairperson of "Gilda's Club of Northern New Jersey's "Laugh Off!" For 15 years the annual stand-up comedy competition has brought resources and awareness to the nonprofit "Club" which creates free support for individuals whose lives have been touched by cancer along with their families and friends.
