The Long-running Off-Off Broadway hit The Sublet Experiment, a romantic comedy by Ethan Youngerman, continues to move around weekly from apartment to apartment in May and June.

"Instead of using a conventional theater, The Sublet Experiement is presented in actual New York apartments. Directed by Michelle Tattenbaum, the production travels from neighborhood to neighborhood, apartment to apartment, across the five boroughs. Since its inception, the show has consistently sold out runs in a dozen neighborhoods including Carroll Gardens, Washington Heights, Chelsea, Tribeca, Astoria  and even Hoboken, New Jersey. The show, which opened in November 2006,  will celebrate its 6 month anniversary on May 13th," state press notes.

In The Sublet Experiment, a serial sublettor, a reality show reject and the worst bank robbers in history collide. It is a comic thriller about love, identity and identity theft as two young people try to find themselves, but end up finding each other.

Upcoming shows are as follows:
May 3 - 6, Upper West Side & Bronx
May 10 - 13, Chelsea
May 17- 20 , Soho
May 24 - 27, off for Memorial Day weekend
May 31 - June 3, Morning Side Heights
June 7 - 10, Park Slope
June 14 - 17,  Harlem

The show stars Erin Maya Darke, Adam Hyland, Christian Maurice, and Stephen Squibb -- 3 of whom have been in the cast since the first performance. The production features costumes by Jessica Pabst and sound by Tim Boyce.

The play is presented by Ethan Youngerman and Michelle Tattenbaum.  Youngerman's plays have been workshopped or performed at MTC, FringeNYC, the Irish Arts Center and the Hangar Theater.  He's a recent graduate of the NYU Dramatic Writing MFA and his first feature-length screenplay is in pre-production with RGM in Australia.  Tattenbaum has directed for the Lincoln Center Directors' Lab, FringeNYC, Here Arts Center, and NY Musical Theatre Festival.  She previously directed Youngerman's play An Archipelago of Clouds for FringeNYC.

The Sublet Experiment runs Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 7pm. (Note: there are no shows Memorial Day weekend.)
