Suave Professionals® is the official sponser of NBC's second season of the popular Fashion Star reality series.  Fashion Star will premiere early next year and helps launch the fashion line of the next big designer.  Building on the success of season one, the show will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of different head-to-toe styles - including the must-have hairstyles for each look.  Suave Professionals® Celebrity Hairstylist Theodore Leaf and his team will create cutting-edge, runway-ready styles for each "Fashion Star" model using Suave Professionals® styling and hair care products that are salon proven to work as well as top salon brands. The truly show-stopping element is that the runway looks are available immediately following the show for viewers to purchase. Fans can also complete the look with the haircare products used on the models.

Hosted by TV presenter and Glamour Fashion Editor-At-Large Louise Roe, "Fashion Star" gives 12 virtually unknown designers the chance to win a multi-million dollar prize to launch their own clothing lines.  Every week the designers will have the opportunity, with the help of notable mentors Jessica SimpsonNicole Richie and John Varvatos, to present and then sell their work to the buyers from three of America's largest retail stores -  Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Express. In the end, only one designer will be chosen as the next "Fashion Star," receiving the opportunity to sell an exclusive capsule line in each of the three prestigious retailers.

As the official hair care sponsor of season two, Suave Professionals® will continue to build its salon-quality equity and beauty credentials by aligning the brand with fashion and providing accessible style solutions for the head-to-toe look.  During the series, each episode will highlight exhilarating fashion shows featuring hair styles by Suave Professionals® Celebrity Hairstylist Theodore Leaf, who consults with the designers before the models hit the runway.  In the Suave Professionals® Hair Salon, designers will discuss their inspiration with Leaf, who will then bring each designer's vision to life through innovative hairstyles that complement each collection. The show will also serve as a platform for Suave Professionals® to unveil new innovations hitting shelves in 2013 that feature breakthrough salon-inspired technology that allow its products to work as well as top salon brands.

"We are proud to continue the Suave Professionals® relationship with this exciting series, which celebrates exceptional fashion talent and provides us with a platform to showcase the integral role hair plays in the overall look and show men and women how to get the look at home," said David RubinUnilever Marketing Director, Hair, U.S. "Suave Professionals® offers professional products that deliver salon-proven quality at a price that is accessible to everyone.  Our partnership with 'Fashion Star' allows the brand to align with up-and-coming fashion talent who provide highly sought-after, cutting edge styles that are also attainable."
