Sally Struthers, Adrian Zmed and Vicki Lewis are among the stars set for the first season of California's new Valley Musical Theatre. A variety of shows and concerts will be presented at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood in 2006.

The 60s nostalgia musical Beehive will be seen from September 22nd through October 8th and the new musical Nuncrackers will be presented from November 17th through December 3rd.

Struthers ("All in the Family," many regional theatre credits) and Adrian Zmed (Grease, Blood Brothers, "TJ Hooker") will headline the latter musical, which will be directed and choreographed by Kay Cole (A Chorus Line). "Nuncrackers continues with the same characters from Nunsense plus Father Virgil and an added chorus of school children aiding and abetting the Reverend Mother in her continuing fund raising ideas and activities. This time it is to be a production of a televised-from-the-convent-basement version of the perennial holiday favorite The Nutcracker," state notes on the show.

The company will present a number of concerts, as well. Teri Bibb, Karen Culliver, and Mary D'Arcy, all former Christines in Broadway's Phantom of the Opera, will take the stage for "The Leading Ladies" on July 7th. On July 8th, Tony-nominee Valerie Pettiford (Fosse, Big Deal) will perform "Hear My Soul." Lewis, joined by David Engel, Damon Kirsche, and Elizabeth Ward Land, will perform in the musical theatre revue "Four in the Afternoon," featuring songs from The Scarlet Pimpernel, Ragtime, La Cage aux Folles and more.
