Stray Cat Theatre Announces Auditions for THE PLAY ABOUT THE NAKED GUY, 12/14 & 12/15

Stray Cat Theatre announces AUDITIONS for THE PLAY ABOUT THE NAKED GUY by David Bell.
The show will be directed by Damon Dering. Auditions are Monday 12.14.09 from 6-10pm and Tuesday 12.15.09 6-8pm at the Tempe Performing Arts Center (the old one - where we perform - 132 E. 6th Street at Forest Avenue, in Tempe's Mill Avenue District near Arizona State University.)

The following roles will be cast:
Needed: 6 M, 2 F
Dan (30's-40's) - The Artistic Director of The Integrity Players
Amanda (20's-30's) - The Actress - Dan's wife
Harold J. Lichtenberger (30's+) - The Actor
MrS. Anderson (40's+) - The Money, Amanda's mother
Kit Swagger (20's-30's) - The porn star. (PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE DOES REQUIRE NUDITY)
Eddie Russini (30's+) - The Director
T. Scott and Edonis (20's) - The Designers

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

Where's the beef?
Sex sells -- but at what price? The Integrity Players, an off-off Broadway theatre company dedicated to faithfully presenting the 'lesser known' classics, is on the brink of shuttering. When a trio of artistically questionable though financially successful impresarios, responsible for such stage hits as "Naked Boys Running Around Naked" and "Drunk Frat Boys Making Porn", offer to help save their company, an epic and hilarious battle between commercialism and artistic allegiance ensues. Appropriately enough, we're bringing in Nearly Naked's Damon Dering to helm all the tasty, trashy fun of this merciless satire of the age old fight between art and commerce.

Rehearsals begin on or around Monday, 12.21.09 and the show runs from 2.12.10 - 2.27.10.

There is a small stipend for all those cast.
