Straight to Hell, written by Stephen Stahl (Lady Day), will premiere Off-Broadway March 13, 8PM at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex. It opens to the public March 14 and runs through March 25.

Based on a novel by Kathleen Hudson about her son Richard, Straight to Hell "follows a teenager's heroin addiction, the devastating effects on him and his family, and his struggle to find happiness in his sobriety. Stahl, himself recovering from years of drug and alcohol addiction, understands the vitality of his show's message," state press notes.

"Straight to Hell really explores the pain of addiction on both the addict and his family," says Stahl, "but it also offers hope, and shows how through love, hope and effort, people's lives can be changed for the positive."

The show stars Jules Hartley, Carolin Haydee Lopez, John Dalmon, Adam Ratcliffe, Annette Hillary, and Paul Hufker, and features a production crew led by Ryan O'Gara (Avenue Q, Jersey Boys).

In addition to the night performances, there will be two Saturday matinees -- March 17th and 24th at 3PM.  Tickets are $18, and are available at the box office, 312 W. 36th St, via phone (212) 868-4444, or online at www.smarttix.com.
