By: Apr. 18, 2006
Broadway Babies, a benefit concert presented by MusiKids, will take place at Snug Harbor's Cultural Center in Staten Island on April 24th at 7:30 PM.

"The Broadway Babies Benefit Cabaret is an event sponsored by MusiKids to provide Staten Island audiences the chance to enjoy an evening of entertainment by local youth, Wagner College students, and Broadway professionals. 100% of the proceeds raised from the event will go directly towards generating the growth and development of MusiKids CT Inc.," state press notes.

The evening will include a silent auction and raffle, in addition to performances of classic Broadway showtunes. The current Broadway performers that are slated to appear in the benefit are Tiffany Haas (Wicked) and Clifton Oliver (Wicked, The Lion King).

"MusiKids CT Inc. is a non-profit children's arts-in-education organization that was established in 2003 by Colin Sheehan. MusiKids is intended to support the nurturing of musically talented students (4th-12th grades) by providing musical instruments, private lessons, camps, etc. to disadvantaged and diversely talented children with special needs. Another key component to MusiKids is bringing performing arts events to the community to further stimulate and enrich their lives."

The Cultural Center is located at 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island. Tickets are $15 for students / senior citizens, and $20 for adults. E-mail MusiKidsCT@aol.com or call 718-683-1117 for tickets. Visit www.musikidsct.org for more information.
