Star-Studded 'Madison Ave Men' Benefits New Globe 9/24

Esquire magazine and the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) will bring the limelight to Madison Avenue on Monday, September 24 from 6PM-8PM with their second annual "Madison Avenue Men" event.  Tony, Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning luminaries from theater, film and television are scheduled to perform at this red carpet affair in participating Madison Avenue boutiques.

The shopping event will benefit the New Globe Theater, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building a state-of-the-art theater in New York City. At the conclusion of the "Madison Avenue Men" event at 8PM, the New Globe Theater will host their star-studded fall gala at the Salander O'Reilly Galleries at 22 East 71st Street.

"As a prelude to the gala, Madison Avenue boutiques focused on men's fashion will play host to a roster of celebrity guests who have lent their time and talent to support the New Globe Theater at concurrent cocktail parties. The evening kicks off at DKNY and continues along Madison Avenue to Asprey, Barbour by Peter Elliot, Blancpain, Church's, David Yurman, Domenico Vacca, Fratelli Rossetti, Ghurka, J.M. Weston, Julius Cohen Jeweler, LAI, Mulberry, Peter Elliot, Samsonite Black Label, and Tanino Crisci. Partygoers will be joined by celebrities such as Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Joanna Gleason and Chris Sarandon, Mariska Hargitay, Christian Hoff, Cheyenne Jackson, Jane Krakowski, Michael McGlone, Christopher Meloni, Matthew Morrison, Euan Morton, Julianne Nicholson and Jonathan Cake, Jillian Owens and Joshua Spafford, Martha Plimpton, Lea Salonga, and more," describe press notes.

The grand finale to this fabulous night will be the New Globe Theater's fall gala at the Salander O'Reilly Galleries. The beautifully restored Neo-Italian Renaissance palazzo will house the 500 A-list guests and celebrities including Brian Stokes Mitchell, Ethan Hawke, and Kate Burton. Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes are Honorary Chairs joined by David Hyde Pierce, Debra Messing, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Lithgow, Julianne Moore, Kristin Chenoweth, Sir Ian McKellen, Sting and Trudie Styler. Guests will be treated to Shakespearean performances, music and song, tempting silent auction and raffle items such as Continental Airlines BusinessFirst Class tickets to Continental Airline destinations around the world, a chance to win an IWC Portuguese Chrono-Automatic watch, a signed Gibson Guitar, and much more.
