Stage Door Chicago: The Cast of 'The Producers'

By:

There was "no way out" of the hilarious interview with the cast of Marriott Lincolnshire's The Producers.  Ross Lehman (Max), Guy Adkins (Leo), Angela Feeney (Ulla), Bernie Yvon (Roger) and Michael Aaron Lindner (Franz) are all on board this wild ride of an interview.  Even the janitors of the theatre get involved.  For those of you watching with a video iPod, look for a special cameo with the show's creator, Mel Brooks.

"This outrageously funny musical from the incomparable Mel Brooks won 12 Tony Awards - more than any other show in history - and is based on the 1968 Academy Award-winning cult film classic of the same title. In a most anticipated pairing, The Producers stars Chicago's two favorite funny men, Ross Lehman as Max Bialystock, and Guy Adkins as Leo Bloom.   New York, 1959.  Once the king of Broadway, downtrodden Max Bialystock is now the infamous producer of dreadfully unsuccessful shows.  Leo Bloom, his neurotic accountant, tells Max he could actually get rich by producing a flop!  Together they hatch a get-rich-quick scheme to raise more money than they need for a sure-fire Broadway flop," explain press notes.

The Producers also stars Bernie Yvon as Roger DeBris, Angela Feeney as Ulla,  George Keating as Carmen Ghia, and Michael Lindner as Franz Liebkind.  Also featured is Roger Anderson, Nathaniel Braga, Parrish Collier, Scott Calcagno, Molly A. Curry, Ariane Dolan, Ian Liberto, Cathy Lord, Ericka Mac, Tammy Mader, Matt Raftery, Summer Rich, Richard Strimer, Laura Taylor, Leslie Taylor, J. Tyler Witmer, and George Wolff.

The artistic team for The Producers is led by Director and Choreographer Marc Robin, with Musical Direction by Richard Carsey.  Set Design is by Tom Ryan, Costume Design by Nancy Missimi, Lighting Design by Diane Williams, Sound Design by Cecil Averrett and Properties Design by Greg Isaac. Patti Garwood conducts the Marriott Theatre Orchestra.

The performance schedule for The Producers is Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.  With the purchase of a $55 ticket on Wednesdays and Thursdays, you receive a free dinner. (Based on dining availability). All other performance ticket prices are $45.00, excluding tax and handling fees.  A $5.00 discount for students and seniors is valid for Wednesday matinees and both Sunday performances.   Additional dinners on Friday, Saturday and Sunday range from $32 - $43 (includes tax) per person at The Fairfield Inn and King's Wharf restaurants.  Free parking is available at all performances.  To reserve tickets with a major credit card, call the Marriott Theatre Box Office at 847.634.0200 or visit www.marriotttheatre.com.
