Spoiler Alert! Ain't It Cool News Reveals First 25 Minutes of BOOK OF MORMON

Ain't It Cool News has revealed the details of the first 25 minutes of The Book of Mormon musical. Seems audiences are in for a number of surprises, if the play-by-play provided is any indication. According to Ain't It Cool reporter Quint: "This number ends with a good dozen people throwing up a middle finger to the sky and singing 'Fuck you God in the ass, mouth and cunt!' Offensive? Perhaps, but done in such a catchy, light musical number that the contrast really can't help but make one laugh."

THE BOOK OF MORMON, the new Broadway musical from the creators of "South Park" and the co-creator of Avenue Q, is featured in the February 2011 issue of Vogue Magazine, now on stands. Creators Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone are featured in an article by Adam Green. Parker and Stone were photographed by Annie Leibovitz. The production will begin previews on February 24 and open March 24 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre (230 West 49th Street).

THE BOOK OF MORMON features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. Parker and Stone are the four-time Emmy Award-winning creators of Comedy Central's landmark animated series, "South Park". Tony Award-winner Lopez is composer and co-creator of the long-running hit musical comedy, Avenue Q. The world premiere musical is choreographed by three-time Tony Award-nominee Casey Nicholaw (Monty Python's Spamalot, The Drowsy Chaperone) and directed by Nicholaw and Parker.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, which follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that's about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get, features Josh Gad as Elder Cunningham, Andrew Rannells as Elder Price, Nikki M. James as Nabalungi, Rory O'Malley as Elder McKinley and Michael Potts as Mafala Hatimbi, with Lewis Cleale, Scott Barnhardt, Justin Bohon, Darlesia Cearcy, Kevin Duda, Asmeret Ghebremichael, Brian Tyree Henry, Clark Johnsen, John Eric Parker, Jason Michael Snow, Benjamin Schrader, Michael James Scott, Brian Sears, Lawrence Stallings, Rema Webb, Maia Nkenge Wilson and Tommar Wilson. The production will also feature Graham Bowen, Ta'Rea Campbell and Tyson Jennette.

Parker and Stone make their Broadway musical writing debut with The Book of Mormon. Parker and Stone have won four Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award for "South Park," the team's controversial, critically acclaimed series, which airs on Comedy Central. "South Park" recently aired its 200th episode and begins its 15th season in April, 2011.

Parker and Stone's credits also include the critically acclaimed films, South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut and Team America: World Police.

Parker co-wrote the musical numbers for South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut. The film's accomplished and outrageous score surprised and delighted critics and audiences. Parker shared an Academy Award nomination for Best Song for the music and lyrics for "Blame Canada" from the film's score. The New York Film Critics Circle also honored South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut with the organization's first award ever presented for Best Animated Film.

Robert Lopez is co-creator, composer and lyricist for Avenue Q, which won 2004 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score and received a Grammy nomination for its Original Cast Album. Avenue Q played for six years on Broadway and is currently running Off-Broadway. With wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez, he wrote Finding Nemo: The Musical (playing Orlando since 2006), the Broadway-bound original musical Up Here (La Jolla Playhouse, 2011) and songs for Winnie The Pooh (Disney Feature Animation, 2011). He shared two Emmy Awards for his music for "The Wonder Pets," and an Emmy nomination for the "Scrubs" musical episode.

Casey Nicholaw received 2006 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Direction and Choreography for The Drowsy Chaperone and 2005 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Choreography for Monty Python's Spamalot, directed by Mike Nichols. His additional New York credits include Elf: The Musical, the Encores! stagings for Anyone Can Whistle and Follies (direction/choreography), Bye Bye Birdie (choreography) and Can-Can (musical staging); Candide starring Patti LuPone and Kristin Chenoweth at the New York Philharmonic and South Pacific at Carnegie Hall with Reba McIntyre and Brian Stokes Mitchell (also PBS "Great Performances"). He directed and choreographed the world premieres of Minsky's at Center Theater Group and Robin and the 7 Hoods at The Old Globe.
