On Sunday, July 3rd, at 7 PM at the Zipper Theatre (337 West 37th St. between 8th and 9th Avenues), Broadway will be scandalized by The Sounds of SILENCE! And Other Inappropriate Showtunes, a concert benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.

Featuring "the bawdiest and most offensive songs from New York's favorite composers," the concert's all-star cast (which has yet to be announced) will be hosted by Scott Nevins, from Therapy's Scott Nevins Presents, with music direction by Brian Nash.

The centerpiece of the concert will be the New York stage premiere of three songs from the hotly-anticipated Fringe Festival show SILENCE! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of the Academy Award-winning film The Silence of the Lambs. Other highlights will include selections from Monica! The Musical from the upcoming New York Musical Theatre Festival, music by Bat Boy and Legally Blond composer Larry O'Keefe, and Avenue Q puppet wrangler Phoebe Kreutz, among others.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is the nation's leading industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American Theatre community to an urgent worldwide health crisis. By drawing upon the talents, resources, and generosity of this community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Since its founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $100 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV or HIV-related illnesses.

Tickets for The Sounds of SILENCE! And Other Inappropriate Showtunes are priced at $20; advance ticket sales and reservations can be made by calling (212) 307 7383, or online by emailing soundsofsilenceconcert@gmail.com.
