The Time Out New York Lounge at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) will celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of its popular weekly open mic night, Songs at the New World, on Monday August 13th.  Described as "a boozy, belting, bash," the evening will be hosted by Colleen Harris and Ben Cameron, with music direction by Michael James Roy and special performances from Tituss Burgess, Paige Turner, and Lindsay Morgan.

Started in 2007 by Colleen HarrisSongs at the New World has been fostering up-and-coming talent in the heart of the theater district for five years.  Every Monday, undiscovered talent shares the stage with casts and crews of the shows at New World Stages, as well as composers, Broadway veterans, and enthusiasts.

The show will begin at 10pm and will feature an open bar from 11pm-midnight, sponsored by Malibu Red.  You must be 21 or over to enter.  There is no cover charge.
