Jean Smart and her husband Richard Gilliland will star in A.R. Gurney's Love Letters at the Visalia Fox Theatre in Visalia, California on February 10-11 as part of a benefit for the theatre.

Gurney's two-character play concerns Makepeace Ladd II and Melissa Gardner, whose romance is charted through their love letters over the years.

Jean Smart's credits include several theatre productions such as Piaf, Last Summer of Bluefish Cove and The Man Who Came to Dinner, for which Smart recieved a Tony Award nomination. Smart also appeared on several television shows including Designing Women, High Society, and most recently she played First Lady Martha Logan on the hit-show 24. Smart also recieved an Emmy Award for her guest appearances on Frasier in 1993. Gilliland's credits include a theatre production of I Remember You and television credits including Designing Women and 24.
