Smart Post Sound LA Launches Smart Post Sound NYC
Smart Post Sound, the award-winning audio post-production facility headquartered in Hollywood, has announced the launch of Smart Post Sound NYC. Conveniently located in the heart of Manhattan, Smart Post Sound continues to serve both coasts, providing outstanding, cost-effective, sound packages that have always been their trademark. No stranger to NYC, Smart Post Sound supplies the complete post sound package for the NBC-TV New York based hit show SMASH, while steadily working in the city to accommodate the ADR needs for their LA based clients.
Spanning four decades, Smart Post Sound is considered an industry leader, with a long history of serving the Los Angeles TV and Motion Picture community, offering high quality and unique complete sound packages for a variety of network television programs and films. They currently provide packages for SONS OF ANARCHY, TOUCH, MODERN FAMILY, SWITCHED AT BIRTH, THE NEIGHBORS, MISTRESSES, BONES and THE GOOD WIFE, as well as films for THE DISNEY CHANNEL, SILVER SCREEN PICTURES, and HALLMark Hall OF FAME. They provided the post sound on Hallmark's recently aired THE MAKEOVER directed by New Yorker John Gray.
The distinguished Smart Post Sound team has been honored with fifteen Emmys, forty MPSE (Motion Picture Sound Editors) Golden Reels and countless nominations for exceptional sound quality, an achievement that far exceeds any other sound company.
"Our goal is to deliver the highest level of creative value while offering a unique post sound solution that is simply not available in the post sound community," says Joe Melody, President of Smart Post Sound.
"We are excited about the enormous possibilities in New York, and our contribution to future innovative projects."
Smart Post Sound was awarded their fifteenth Emmy for sound mixing on MODERN FAMILY, and their superior sound design team was recently nominated for two Golden Reels for the 20th Century Fox/DreamWorks science fiction drama TERRA NOVA. Smart Post Sound continues to provide complete sound packages for more than twenty made-for-television movies and features each year.
Often referred to as the oldest and youngest post-production sound company, Smart Post Sound's roots were formed over 40 years ago as Echo Sound Services. Years of professional growth and advanced technical experience led to the establishment of Smart Post Sound LA, home now to three impressive state-of-the-art mix stages, two very spacious ADR stages that draw clients from around the world, one of the largest and best sounding Foley stages, and a superb team of dedicated sound supervisors, designers, and editors.
Complete sound packages for shows include editorial, ADR and mixing services both in-house and in conjunction with more than forty facilities worldwide, all available as an option in any SPS package.
