On May 21, Brooklyn-based band Sky-Pony (led by Tony nominee Lauren Worsham) will hit the stage at club 42W, on a bill with The Deafening (led by Tony winner Lena Hall) and Australian pop star Brendan Maclean. Also appearing: special guests Grace McLean and Emmy winner Lance Horne. It's part of the Broadway the Hardway series, presented by Jacob Langfelder, which showcases rock groups with Broadway connections.

The theme of the evening is SPRING BREAK FESTIVAL... so expect plastic palm trees, bathing suits, plenty of dancing, plus original video graphics mapped on New York City's largest indoor LED wall.

It happens on May 21 at 8pm. Doors at 7pm. 42West is located at 514 West 42nd Street. Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased at www.42WestNY.com/events.

Sky-Pony (top picture) is led by singer/actress Lauren Worsham (Tony nominee and Drama Desk award winner for Broadway's Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder) along with her husband, Obie-winning songwriter Kyle Jarrow. The Brooklyn-based band serves up lush, danceable indie-pop with a healthy dose of theatrics -- incorporating costumes, choreography, and projections into their high-energy live shows. Rock concert meets performance art meets burlesque, you might say. The Wall Street Journal describes them as "a 1960s girl group on crack - tight, fierce, hilarious and out of their minds." The NJ Star-Ledger calls them "magnetic" and praises their combination of "lively electro-pop melodies with synchronized dance moves." Flavorpill calls Lauren Worsham "one of the most talented singers and performers in New York." More info at http://www.sky-pony.com.

The Deafening is New York to its core. A ferocious four piece born of the city's eternal energy, and raw tribute to its defiant crush. With blues beating back and rough punk ethos, The Deafening are the natural heirs to the Bowery's big bad seventies sound. The band expertly fuses the gritty glam of the early seventies with the big bragging attitude of eighties' sleaze rock and tops it off with the merrily deviant theatrical horror of groups like The Misfits and Alice Cooper. With Burt Rock on Lead guitar, Dylan Doyle on Rhythm guitar, Tommy Mokas on Bass, Mick Harrison whipping back the skins, and Tony Award Winner Lena Hall wailing her little black heart out, this four piece seeks to return to rock it's dirty sexy heart. http://www.thedeafening.com

Australia's Brendan Maclean is a performer on a grand scale: be it his work in The Great Gatsby, his award winning original pop, or his uncanny ability to find himself onstage alongside the likes of Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry or Solange Knowles. It is his electric live performance that has seen him invited to take the spotlight across Italy, Paris and London - and now he returns to New York to introduce a collection of high energy, irony-free, joyous original material recorded across America in 2014.
