Sing For Me! Incredible Video Of High School Production Of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

A high school excels with The Phantom of the Opera!

Wisconsin's Janesville District School's take on the Andrew Lloyd Webber mega-smash The Phantom of the Opera is simply amazing and a brand new extended video of their amateur production of the longest-running musical in Broadway history is now available to view.

Of note, the video features Jacob Schmidt as The Phantom and Regan Bolt as Christine.

The official The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway Facebook page shared the clip earlier this week, writing, "Take a listen to these wonderfully talented high school students sing "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Music of the Night."

More information on the video and Janesville's PHANTOM is as follows: "The School District of Janesville Summer School will present Broadway's longest running musical, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera July 17-26. Andrew Lloyd Webber's sweepingly romantic score includes "Music of the Night" and "All I Ask of You. The Phantom of the Opera tells the story of a disfigured musical genius known only as 'The Phantom' who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. Mesmerized by the talents and beauty of a young soprano - Christine, the Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with her. Unaware of Christine's love for Raoul, The Phantom's obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness and passions collide. Directed by Jim Tropp, Music Directed by Jan Knutson and Brian Knutson and Choreographed by Michael Stanek "The PHANTOM of the OPERA " will be presented July 17,18, 24 and 25 at 7:30pm and July 19 and 26 at 2:00pm at Parker High School, 3125 Mineral Point Ave, Janesville, WI 53548."

The official description of The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway is as follows: "Far beneath the majesty and splendour of the Paris Opera House, hides the Phantom in a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, the love he holds for his beautiful protégée Christine Daaé is so strong that even her heart cannot resist.

The musical opened at Her Majesty's Theatre on 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and there have been dozens of productions worldwide since then. Now in its 29th record-breaking year, The Phantom of the Opera continues to captivate audiences at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End, after more than 11,000 performances.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's mesmerizing score along with jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking special effects, magically combine to bring this tragic love story to life each night."
