Broadway headliner and Glee star Matthew Morrison teases that the internationally super-successful Simon Cowell-curated boy band One Direction could be appearing on the hit FOX musical dramedy series sometime soon if he gets his wish according to a new interview.

Morrison has revealed that courting the global mega-stars and their superstar founder for an upcoming episode for the show's final season kicking off in the Fall is a likely, if hopeful, scenario.

Morrison shares, "They are not much older than high school age so we could have them as students. And I am sure the younger female cast members wouldn't object to their presence either."

Furthermore, Morrison reveals, "Both my and Jane Lynch's dream cameo is Simon Cowell. So maybe the boys could bring their manager."

Additionally, Morrison says of the potential combustible chemistry were Cowell to actually appear, "It would make great TV seeing Sue Sylvester and Simon Cowell go head to head."

Of note, the Glee cast has previously taken on two One Direction hits, "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Live While We're Young".

GLEE returns from its midseason hiatus at a New Day and time on Tuesday, February 25.
