Shiyr Productions returns this month with Shiyr Terror, an original collection of short comedic plays exploring the theme of death. Performances will run October 20th-29th, 2017 at the Papillon Prohibition Room.

From overdosing on Coca-Cola to the precursor of social networking to reincarnation, Shiyr Productions gives an up close look at death for a terrifyingly funny theater experience. Inspired by the company's desire to foster new works Shiyr Terror features eleven new short plays tailored specifically for the intimate Victorian era space at Papillon in midtown Manhattan.

"We have 11 diverse and unique voices creating these pieces, so the fun and the challenge has been bringing some continuity to the evening as a whole. Luckily, Shiyr has made available this stellar company of actors, a wonderful space to utilize, and a superstar creative team to collaborate with. What might have appeared to be a daunting task at first glance, has turned out to be a joy and a creative inspiration. It's an experience not to be missed," Director David Adam Gill. David also wrote a piece which will be a teaser for a full-length play he's writing for Shiyr Productions, premiering in the Spring of 2018.

Shiyr Productions is now in its second year and was set into motion by a group of William Esper Studio graduates looking to create art and make a difference one laugh, one tear, one moment at a time.
