Premise:
With daddy as a drug dealer, hustler and a Princeton Graduate, Shana Solomon's upbringing was quite confusing. No wonder she has a hilarious story to tell.

"I asked my dad if it was cool to tell the world about our life on stage." He said, " Well, a niggas got to come clean some day." Besides he wasn't Pablo Escobar, he was more like Saul Silver from Pineapple Express with a Richard Pryor attitude.

When was the last time you heard an inspirational story that will make you quit your day job & follow your passion, from a young sexy woman that grew up with a hustler for a father with his masters in political science?

The Closet Bitch is a one-woman show that takes us into the mind of a girl from the Bronx, who learned how to people please (Like being manipulated by her father to keep her mouth shut about his mistress even though he was married to her mother) and feared success because of her environment. It is a hilariously-raw & dark inspirational tale (Which is vividly told through the stories of how she lost her virginity, dealt with the stereotypes in corporate America ) of how one conquers their fears of success and speaking out amongst a population who were taught to survive in a 9-5 world and turn the other cheek when opportunity knocks.

The Closet Bitch was developed in 2011 in Matt Hoverman's, Create your own solo show class. Soon after, excerpts of The Closet Bitch were performed all over New York City such as Naked Angels, Women's Conferences, The Theater Lab and The Muffin Show. The Closet Bitch was finally performed in 2012 in it's entirety at The Bridge Theater.

Shana Solomon, star, Writer & Creator, has appeared in many films, Theater Productions, web series and TV such as "All My Children" and "As The World Turns".

She recently appeared in the Tribeca Film Festivals short, PB&J and national commercials such as GEICO and Mountain Dew. She was the winner of the IFNY Monologue Slam competition and was producer and star of The independent short film COOL KIDZ. Shana has studied with Matt Hoverman (CreateYourOwnSoloShow.com), Tony Greco, Marishka Phillips, Deena Levy, Brette Goldstein, Tasha Smith & Wendy Mckenzie.
