Seth Rudetsky will once again lovingly puncture pop culture in Seth Deconstructs: The Good, The Bad and The Headachy to Ars Nova (511 W. 54th St., just west of 10th Ave.) on Mondays December 5th and 19th, with doors opening at 9:30 PM.

In this "ultimate deconstructing show...Seth Rudetsky will share his entire private video/audio collection and show you how to deconstruct. Learn how to analyze 70's variety shows and question why there was a distinct lack of blinking. You'll be able to differentiate the best belting in the world versus the sounds of Bonnie Franklin. Judge classic videos like The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, The Liza Minelli/Joel Grey/Ben Vereen Spiritual Medley, and Barbra Streisand being forced to sing 'People,' down a third and then a fourth as she progressively ages. Finally! See and hear the clips 'they' don't want you to see!," states a press article.

A man of many talents, Rudetsky has teamed up with The Actor's Fund as Artistic Producer, conductor and musical director on star-studded productions of Hair, Chess, Funny Girl and the Dreamgirls 20th Anniversary Concert. Rudetsky filmed five episodes of All My Children last year as Rudy the choreographer opposite Susan Lucci and entertained wildly enthusiastic audiences in his long running Off-Broadway, GLAAD-nominated hit Rhapsody in Seth, which he originally developed at Ars Nova. As a pit pianist and conductor, Rudetsky has leant his talents to over 15 Broadway shows, including 42nd Street, The Full Monty, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia! and The Producers. Rudetsky was part of the three-time Emmy-nominated comedy writing team for The Rosie O'Donnell Show and wrote the lyrics and opening numbers of the 1998 and 2000 Tony Awards shows. The host of Seth's Broadway Chatterbox, he can be heard everyday as a deejay on SIRIUS Satellite Radio.

Just two years ago, Ars Nova opened its doors in memory of Gabe Wiener with the goal of being a home for artists to develop and perform new works in an intimate audience setting. Ars Nova produces theater, comedy and music events, making exciting live entertainment accessible to a New York audience at affordable prices. In addition to fully staged productions, Ars Nova offers a free play reading series (Out Loud), an alternative music and comedy series (Thursdays at 10), a musical theater series (Broadway Spotlight), a singer/songwriter series (Uncharted) and in-house writers' workshops.
