The Drama Book Shop will host actor, Director, and co-founder of The Barrow Group, Seth Barrish, on Friday, November 13th, 2015 at 5:00pm. Mr. Barrish will discuss his exstensive career and the latest version of his popular book, An Actor's Companion. He will be joined by legendary director, filmmaker and puppeteer, Frank Oz.

Seth Barrish has been a professional acting coach and teacher for more than 25 years. An award-winning actor, director, and Artistic Director, he has spent the last two decades focusing on techniques that maximize spontaneity and bring performances to life. His clients include Anne Hathaway, Mike Birbiglia, Tony Hale, and Michael Stahl David, among others. In 1986, he co-founded The Barrow Group. a company which has left an indelible mark on the New York theater scene, garnering accolades and praise for its high level of acting integrity.

Frank Oz was one of Jim Henson's closest creative partners, beginning in 1963. Oz played Bert to Henson's Ernie on Sesame Street. In 1976, Oz created many of the core characters for The Muppet show and he continued to perform these characters in the Muppet movies and TV specials. Henson and Oz collaborated on the 1982 film The Dark Crystal, directing as a team. He is also celebrated for his work to create the character of Yoda in Star Wars.

The Drama Book Shop is located at 250 West 40th Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues. Admission to the discussion is free and a reservation is not required.
