Garden Clean-Up Volunteer Day
Saturday, September 18, 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.
Help us keep the garden and grounds of BPMM looking beautiful. Roll-up your sleeves and don your gardening gloves at our Volunteer Garden Clean-up Day. Light breakfast offered. Please wear long sleeves, pants, sturdy shoes, and work gloves, Registration requested. Free

Exhibition Family Program
Saturday, September 18, 11 a.m.
Learn about the remarkable 19th-century Bolton family, ways to document family history, and create your own family tree (bring photos). Appropriate for children ages 6-10. Child must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations required. Cost $5; members Free

Compost Made Easy Workshop
Monday, September 20, 10 a.m- 12 p.m.
The first hour covers the essentials of outdoor composting from choosing your bin to harvesting and using your finished product. In the second hour, we'll apply the workshop tips and techniques by recycling garden trimmings into compost. Rain date September 21. Registration required. Free

Historic House Trust Festival
Friday, September 24- Sunday, September 26, 12- 4 p.m.
Tour the mansion and carriage house, and view our fall exhibition, The Boltons of Pelham Priory, free of charge during New York City's Historic House Trust Festival.
Guided tours begin at quarter past the hour, 12:15-3:15 p.m.

Smithsonian Museum Day
Saturday, September 25, 12- 4 p.m.
Free admission for guided tours with Smithsonian Museum Day pass. Tours begin at quarter past the hour, 12:15-3:15

High Time for Low Tea
Saturday, September 25, 3 p.m.
Enjoy a true Victorian low tea in the Mansion's Orangerie served by docents in period dress. Learn about low versus high tea, tea history and etiquette, all while delighting in delicious traditional, tea-time treats. Appropriate for ages 10 and up. Registration required. Cost $20 per person, members $15

Historic Wheels Rally for Historic House
Sunday, September 26, 1-3 p.m.
Local antique and unique car owners flaunt their wheels to benefit BPMM. Cars drive through Pelham and park on lawn of mansion to picnic, enjoy music by the Pelham Jazz Ensemble and see and be seen. Call for details.

October Events
First Friday! + Bronx Seaside Trolley
Friday, October 1, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Join us for an evening visit featuring music by the Pelham Jazz Ensemble, self-guided tours of the mansion, a stroll in the garden, and light refreshments. The free Bronx Seaside Trolley makes a continuous loop from the Pelham Bay subway station to BPMM to City Island. Registration requested. Cost $8 adults, $5 seniors & children 6-17; members free

Exhibition Lecture

Author Willene B. Clark on Tender Piety and Monumental Strength: The StaiNed Glass Art of William Jay Bolton and John Bolton. Lecture at Christ Church, Pelham, and reception to follow at BPMM. Registration requested. Free

Yoga in the Orangerie

The benefits of yoga are well known: de-stress, get strong and flexible, and have fun! This fall BPMM hosts a personalized yoga class limited to 12 people in our sunlit Orangerie. Taught by certified Anusara yoga® teacher Ann Casapini. Registration required. Cost $136; members $120
